Each session meets from 5:30 – 7:30 pm in the Pottery Studio.
$50 includes 2 lbs of clay, use of all tools and wheels, firing, and glaze.
This is a once a month open studio work time for students who already have some knowledge of working with clay, no instruction is provided.  Fee includes 2 hours of working time in the studio with use of all tools, 2 lbs of clay firing, and glazing.  Extra clay can be purchased for an additional fee.

Drawing and Painting with Steve Close

Classes are on pause and will resume beginning of August.
This is an introduction to the materials and techniques of painting and drawing for all students. Working from direct observation and a variety of subject matter, this class will focus on color and basic concepts of form, light, and composition.

Brenda has developed a unique, condensed method of teaching so that everyone can experience the exciting medium of watercolor without the immediate need of drawing skills or painting experience.
She created twelve paintings for the series Watercolor Crash Course! Subjects include birds, flowers, landscapes, and buildings. The subjects need not be taken in any particular order, and you will learn something new with each subject you paint. You will learn how to transfer one of her line drawings to your watercolor paper and then how to mix primary colors to make all the colors you want for that painting. You will learn basic watercolor techniques that can be used in any painting. Brenda’s demonstrations will walk you step by step, through the entire process and in just four hours, you will
have the satisfaction of finishing a small painting to take home. You will be amazed what you can accomplish!
