Winter 2026-27 Youth Art Classes and Workshops
Youth Art Studios with Julie Compton
Get creative while discovering art in the museum’s studios and galleries! Explore the LAM’s collection and then experiment with different materials and learn about art concepts. Participants will enhance their critical thinking, communication, and visual literacy skills. Studio activities include painting, collage, clay hand building, printmaking and drawing.
All Studio Art Classes have a Max. of 12 students.

With past workshops involving grand gingerbread houses, and other holiday treats, students leave this workshop in the holiday spirit!
What is the cancellation policy?
Any cancellation or change made more than two weeks before your child’s first day of a workshop carries an administrative fee of $25; if you cancel your registration before the two-week deadline, you will receive a refund less the $25 fee. No refunds can be given for cancellations made less than one week prior to the start of the selected workshop.
The LaGrange Art Museum reserves the right to cancel any workshop or class that does not meet minimum enrollment (usually six students) or for other unforeseen circumstances. We will do our best to notify families at least one week prior to the start of a session if a particular workshop or class is canceled. Any payments made toward a workshop or class that the LaGrange Art Museum cancels will be eligible for a refund or can be applied to another workshop or class if space permits.
