Upcoming Exhibition Sponsorship Opportunities
Yuichiro Komatsu Structures of Silence
November 7, 2025 – January 31, 2026
Artist Reception, Friday, December 5, 2025 from 6-8pm
Yuichiro Komatsu is a minimalist ceramic sculptor whose work explores the transformative nature of clay, symbolizing the dialogue between the mutable and immutable. Drawing from his bi-cultural background and diverse experiences, he reflects on the transient nature of societies and the enduring aspects of existence. His art delves into the expansion of form, seeking to capture the interplay between the tangible and intangible, and the visible and invisible. Komatsu studied at Parsons School of Design and New York State College of Ceramics, and apprenticed with renowned ceramicist Toshiko Takaezu. He was awarded the DAAD Postgraduate Research Fellowship in Germany.
Highlighting Contemporary Art in Georgia
SEAMS TO BE: New Approaches to Textile Techniques
February 20 – April 11, 2026
This is a traveling exhibition program organized by the Georgia Museum of Art. SEAMS TO BE: New Approaches to Textile Techniques is the fourth in the series entitled Highlighting Contemporary Art in Georgia, a triennial of traveling exhibitions.
Each exhibition elevates the careers if Georgia based working artists, promotes the enrichment of contemporary arts and is made available at minimal costs to venues in metropolitan areas big and small across the state, in keeping with the University of Georgia’s statewide public outreach mission.
The SEAMS TO BE exhibition represents the wealth of talented artists in Georgia exploring the exciting innovations in textile, fiber and other handwork arts. From the tiny sewn beaded details on found food bags by Adah Bennion, the lush woven wall works by Sonja Young James to the wild and whimsical sculptures of sewn notions and trims by Victoria Dugger. The curatorial selections explore a wide range of detailed oriented skills sharing the use of the needle and thread.
LaGrange’s deep roots as a textile town make this exhibition especially meaningful. For generations, our community’s mills and makers have shaped the region’s economy, identity, and culture. Seams to Be honors that legacy while showcasing how today’s artists transform traditional fiber and handwork techniques into bold, contemporary expressions.
From hand-beaded chip bags to free-motion quilts, woven wall works, and fabric assemblages, the exhibition invites visitors to reflect on Georgia’s past, present, and future through the lens of creativity and craft. On view at LaGrange Art Museum February 20 – April 11, 2026, it will attract thousands of visitors from across West Georgia and beyond.
This is a rare opportunity to celebrate LaGrange’s past as a textile town, spotlight Annie Greene’s work in her hometown, and bring a professional, thought-provoking exhibition to our region.
Creative Youth Art League

The architect of the museum’s Creative Youth Art League was the late Morrill Turner Hutchinson who wanted to make sure youth art is always an essential part our community.
Visual Artists Alliance of LaGrange

Opening reception: June 6, 6-8 pm
The LaGrange Art Museum will celebrate the beginning of summer with its annual exhibit featuring the works of the Visual Artist Alliance of LaGrange. This exhibition enables local, amateur, and emerging artists who are members of VAAL to exhibit their work in a museum setting. The mission of Visual Artists Alliance of LaGrange (VAAL) is to bring together LaGrange area artists to form a more cohesive and supportive artist community, foster their activities, and to amplify their visibility and voice in the wider community.
Sixth LaGrange Southeast Regional
September 19, 2026 – January 16, 2027
The LaGrange Southeast Regional provides the citizens of West Georgia and East Alabama access to current artistic practice; offers artists exhibition opportunities and purchase possibilities; and affords the LaGrange Art Museum and the Lamar Dodd Art Center a means for the development of significant collections of contemporary American art. Both organizations have been extremely fortunate to have generous support from the Callaway Foundation of LaGrange who has provided purchase award funds to further their growing collections.
